From Taupo, some of the finest wines of New Zealand can be found within a surprisingly short distance. This tour also allows for an opportunity to visit the Art Deco city of Napier in a fantastic day trip. 

 

A stunningly scenic drive of 90 minutes on the Napier-Taupo road opens the door to some world class varietals of Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Cabernet Franc along with some exceptional Chardonnays. We will also stop for lunch at one of New Zealand's finest winery restaurants, making this a very special day. Wineries we include on our tours (a full day) are usually a handful of the following:
